Britain in Bloom Neighbourhood Award

Most people are familiar with Britain in Bloom, but we discovered recently that they also run a Neighbourhood Award category which concentrates on how communities have worked together to improve their environment in a more general sense. This was a perfect way to gain some public recognition for all the hard work that has been put into cleaning up the beach and promenade by the Rossall Beach Residents.

Judging took place on Tuesday 21 July, and the verdict will be revealed at an awards ceremony on 22nd October which is held at Southport. Watch this space!

As part of the process, entrants have to produce a report with before and after photos and information about the project for the judges to take away with them. Click here to read our entry.
