The Rossall Beach Group Needs You!

The Rossall Beach Group welcomes anyone who wants to join in. It doesn’t matter where you live – if you love the coast come along. Join our regular events, attend meetings, follow our work, make a donation, do your bit at home, or get your own workplace involved. It all adds up.

Join our 4 weekly community beach cleans on a Monday morning. Start at 9.30am and end with coffee!

Come to a monthly meeting. You never know what you might learn.

Do your bit your way. How could you make changes at home, at school, at work? It all makes a difference.

Betty

Betty is the one who looks after the purse strings! As Treasurer, Betty is also a Trustee. She’s also the keeper of the beach cleaning equipment and looks after the Lone Beach Cleaners.

Jane

Jane is a founding member of the group. Never afraid to lead from the front, her most memorable moment has got to be scooping up 100+ bags of dog poo!

Liz has got a brilliant eye for detail and admirably looks after all of the administration. When she’s not tending to her chickens or bees she’s listening to Elvis ( her cat ) purring.
An all-around good egg!

Queen’s Award for voluntary service

In June 2014, Rossall Beach Residents & Community Group was honoured with the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service. It’s the highest award that a UK voluntary group can receive.

The Award is only given to groups after rigorous scrutiny and recognises the achievements of volunteers. It’s shows they are developing a wide variety of skills, creating a major contribution to the welfare of their local community and fulfilling the purposes of wellbeing, learning and education.
